FLO-TORK is pleased to be the primary supplier of hydraulic rotary actuators for America's fleet of all nuclear powered submarines and other naval vessels. The company is responsible for hundreds of specially designed systems that operate critical valves, hatches and other devices on board these vessels.
FLO-TORK has also been responsible for engineering and building the 70-inch long rotary actuators that swing aside the gantry arm on Cape Canaveral's Shuttle launch tower - starting point for the Space Shuttle missions. Other products can be found helping to position huge cargo booms that unload iron ore from bulk freighters on the Great Lakes - just one of many heavy-duty designs that can range in size from 100 to 50,000,000 pound inches of torque.
FLO-TORK also manufactures SPEC-TORK for large quantity rotary actuator purchasers, ROBOTORK, a new precision actuator for the robotics industry, and other types of specially designed motion control devices for the fluid power market including low speed, high torque hydraulic motors.
